All good things must come to an end

I regret to inform that this blog will be no longer. Due to increase in work load and time constraints, we will not be able to continue. All blog posts are accurate as of today, and we will no longer be adding any data to it.

The Singapore Etsy team will just have a Yahoo group for discussions. To join, simply follow the instructions here.

Thank you for your support the past few months. We appreciate it!

artfaerie featured on Cuteable and Capitola Girl

Her design style is uniquely modern, bright and cheerful. Her eye for color is also impeccable. I think Agnes' creativity is quite amazing, and her jewelry designs consistently put a smile on my face.
Our very own artfaerie was featured on both Cuteable and Capitola Girl. Good job on the feature! Check out the write ups here and here.

KQcreative & Melbangel featured in Crochet Animals

Kim Yeoh of kim0511, and Amy Lim of melbangel are featured in a publication 'Crochet Animals' by Annie Obaachan.

Just a small note that Kim's data is misprinted on another crafter's column. Her creation is shown on the left bottom (the little rabbit).

Almond Tree featured in Indie Galore

These pieces are from AlmondTree, a jewelry maker based in Singapore.

If you’re a fan of wire work or soldered pieces, this is the place for you. There are all kinds of different pendants and earrings using both techniques. Stained glass or brightly colored glass cabochons are often featured with the wire and soldered pieces. And some of the airy wire work is nice (like in the black pendant above), giving pieces an added dimension.

Sparklethots featured by Fashio Nation

Sparkle Thots offer a very different take on jewelry customization as compared to other LiveJournal jewelry sellers. As opposed to targeting the teens/young adults market, the designer Ruth makes jewelry that is suitable for young children as well.

Congrats to Amy of melbangel!

saplanet on Pretty Patrol

Industrious types can buy their crochet patterns, but we prefer to buy the finished products, which you can order in a number of custom colors. The cutesy critters are darling little gifts or stocking-stuffers for little girls, and they're the perfect size for Christmas tree ornaments. The little pink bunny is our favorite.

Well said! Who needs mass produced crochet dolls when you can get one personalized to your preferences? saplanet makes great dolls and was featured on Pretty Patrol. We are extremely proud of her.

guileless on The Storque

Congratulations to guileless for being chosen by The Storque to write on article on the handmade life in Singapore. In this article, guileless talks about life in Singapore in general and how handmade fits into the city.

Here is an excerpt of the article:
And does handmade fit into this city? Strangely enough, it does. In the decade or so there’s been an obvious growing acceptance and even embrace of the quirky, off-beat and handmade. Sure, it’s still a very much a niche market. But there’s now a growing band of designers, shopowners and activists raising awareness of handmade produce.

Congratulations, guileless! We are proud of you.

Starry Designs on Pajama Mommy Community

Holly of Pajama Mommy Community was browsing through Etsy when she stumbled upon Starry Designs. Holly received a bird's nest ring and a pair of oxidized earrings and was taken aback by the beauty of the ring and how lightweight the earrings were.

Here is an excerpt of the article:
Starry Designs offers unique jewelry guaranteed to match any woman’s style, no matter what age group you fall into. They carry rings, earrings, bracelets, necklaces and pendants, as well as an incredibly exceptional line of rings and earrings that look like birds nests, which I was thoroughly impressed with.

Besides getting a wonderful review, Starry Designs has also been Jammy Approved! Congratulations, Cindy!

Jammy Approved is a section that singles out the reviews that they have done in which they were very impressed by the product and absolutely love.
